Celebrating World Poetry Day at Le Monde des Flamboyants

25.03.2017, Kinshasa, DRC – TMB is pleased to invite you to our celebration of World Poetry Day being held at Le Monde des Flamboyants on Saturday 25 March 2017 from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm.

Le Monde des Flamboyant is the permanent cultural centre of TMB, housed at its regional headquarters in Kinshasa.

Aware of the importance of the expression of art in all its forms, TMB is delighted to open its doors to the poet Haris Kabongo. Haris Kabongo is the DRC delegate of the association ‘Les Rencontres Européennes-Europoésie’ which aims to promote French poetry and to bring together friends of Europoésie from all over the world. He is a member of the jury of the association during the poetry competitions to select the works representing the Congo.

Haris Kabongo regularly organises workshops around books and poetry at the Centre Wallonie Bruxelles and in various other places in Kinshasa, and abroad.

Various activities are planned as part of this celebration, including a conference and poem readings.

Entrance to Le Monde des Flamboyants is free and open to all members of the public, Monday to Friday, from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm and on Saturday, from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm.
