TMB wins the Best Advertising Award at TagPay World
21.09.2016, Paris, France – TMB is delighted to announce that TMB won the award for Best Advertising at the 2016 TagPay World Conference for its PEPELE Mobile campaign.
The award was presented during a ceremony organised as part of the TagPay World Conference. The awards ceremony took place on a boat navigating the Seine before mooring by the Eiffel Tower.
Yannick Mbiya Ngandu, Executive Director at TMB, received the award on behalf of the Bank. Yannick dedicated the award to the achievements of the Marketing Department, to the PEPELE Mobile team that gives the best of themselves to make this service the success that it is, and to the Bank’s management for their vision and the confidence they have placed in the teams working on the ambitious project.
Referring to the award win, Isabelle Duvigneaud, Head of Marketing at TMB commented:
“When designing the PEPELE Mobile branding concept and subsequent advertising campaigns, we wanted to focus attention on the fact that PEPELE Mobile was developed right here in the Congo. The “Made in Congo” theme is therefore core to the product’s identity.
We have captured this theme in numerous ways, perhaps most obviously in PEPELE Mobile’s campaign material which incorporates elements of the Congo’s national flag, and our work with Congolese animators when producing advertising video content.
We also collaborate with a graphic design company in Belgium, in particular to develop the PEPELE Mobile campaign, and as well as other TMB campaigns; this award is also a recognition of their work and achievements.
We’re delighted that an advertising campaign devised in the DRC has received such international recognition.”
