Le Monde des Flamboyants presents a new exhibition: `Dikisongele ‒ Les 3 temps´
24.10.2014, Kinshasa, DRC – TMB is pleased to invite you to the fascinating new exhibition “Dikisongele – Les 3 temps” (Dikisongele – The three eras) to be held from Friday 24 October to Sathurday 15 November at “Le Monde des Flamboyants”.
Le Monde des Flamboyant is the permanent cultural centre of TMB, created at its regional headquarters in Kinshasa.
Frank Dikisongele Zatumua, known as Diki, is for sure one of the greatest contemporary Congolese painters of the last two decades. Born in 1968, he lives and works in Kinshasa, where he is teacher at the ‘Académie des Beaux-Arts’ (Academy of Fine Arts). Since the early nineties, Dikisongele has had countless individual and group exhibitions in Africa and Europe. Many enthusiastic private collectors own large collections of his works.
Diki is fascinated by the concepts of time and change, and these concepts inspire his entire work. He has been delighting audiences with his work which is rich of colorful expressions. The artist successfully manages the balance between the warm colors, the energy revealed and the discretion of his line.
The current exhibition includes some sixty works of Dikisongele and encompass various philosophical, social, political, economic and spiritual themes.
The exhibition is free and open to all members of the public, from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm and on Saturday, from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm.
