Showings of the Documentary `Congo Nature ­‒ Les Trésors de l´Est´

19.02.2013, Lubumbashi, DRC – TMB has sponsored the exciting documentary directed by Tanguy Dumortier and Philippe Lamair and produced by Popiul and Eric de Lamotte: Congo Nature – Les Trésors de l’Est (Congo Nature – Treasures of the East).

TMB supports various civil society initiatives in the DRC including in the areas of art, education, ecology, and health care. Our commitment to investing in our community emphasises working with partners who in particular are focused on investing in protecting the environment.

After a successful documentary premiere, held at the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren, Belgium, on 14 December 2012, with participation of TMB Representative Office, the Bank is excited to have also facilitated the screening of the documentary at locations in the DRC.

The documentary has been screened at:

-Goma, at Lac Kivu Lodge, on 19 January 2013;
-Bukavu, at the Centre Culturel Français (French Cultural Centre), on 24 January 2013;
-Kinshasa, at Le Monde des Flamboyants, TMB permanent cultural centre, on 14 February 2013;
-Lubumbashi, at Bush Camp, on 18 February 2013.

Each screening was attended by more than 200 people. The screenings were followed by a debate and cocktail reception where the participation of TMB clients and agents alike was welcomed.
