The Bismack Biyombo basketball tour arrives in Lubumbashi
22.07.2015, Lubumbashi, DRC – Following highly successful stop-offs in Goma and Kinshasa, Bismack Biyombo, the renowned Congolese NBA star, and native of Lubumbashi, brings his basketball tour to his home town. TMB is delighted to accompany Bismack along the way.
Bismack Biyombo Sumba is a Congolese professional basketball player born in Lubumbashi. Bismack recently joined the Toronto Raptors, having previously played center with the Charlotte Bobcats. He is currently one of two players from the DRC playing in the NBA.
In 2013 and 2014, Bismack Biyombo held highly successful basketball training camps in Lubumbashi and Kinshasa. TMB was pleased to support the 2014 camp in Lubumbashi, and is honoured to be able to support an expanded basketball tour this year, with camps taking place in three cities, namely Goma, Kinshasa and Lubumbashi.
The Bismack Biyombo basketball camp is taking place in Lubumbashi from 22 to 25 July at Kiwele Omnisport Stadium. The training camp welcomes young adults aged 14-18 years old.

The objective of the Bismack Biyombo basketball tour of the DRC, and related training camps, is to promote the game of basketball and its core values as a tool to accomplish life goals, an approach TMB seeks to support and encourage. The initiative aims at giving young people across the country opportunities to pursue their education and to develop their sporting careers.
Bismack is a model and an inspiration for young Congolese and TMB is thrilled to welcome him home to Lubumbashi.
