TMB hosts a reception in Kolwezi for Belgian Economic Mission
16.10.2014, Kolwezi, RDC – TMB invited participants of the Belgian Economic Mission to a reception held at the Pacha restaurant, in Kolwezi, on Wednesday 15 October 2014.
The economic mission of Belgian businesses in the DRC has been organised by Jérôme Roux, Economic and Commercial Secretary at the Belgian Embassy in the DRC, from 11 to 23 October, with a focus on the mining sector and other related sectors, such as energy and transport. In the framework of this mission, participants have a very dense programme of visits and meetings including in Lubumbashi, Likasi, Fungurume, Kolwezi, Mbuji-Mayi, Kananga, Tshikapa, Kinshasa and Matadi.
As part of the visits planned in Kolwezi, TMB hosted a reception for the delegation and clients of the Bank; TMB welcomed some 120 guests.
TMB was represented by the Regional Director, the Kolwezi Branch Manager, the Bank’s mining sector new business development manager and TMB commercial and customer service staff.
Ms Charlotte Chimey Njinga, Kolwezi Mayor, introduced the event by presenting an overview of the Kolwezi business environment. Participants then briefly presented their companies and explained their interest in participating in the economic mission in the DRC. Yannick Mbiya, TMB Director, then welcomed the Bank’s guests.
Both the delegation and the local business representatives warmly welcomed the event organised by TMB. The event provided an ideal opportunity for both sides to establish productive connections with the intent to initiate future business relationships.
