TMB is named the Bank of the Year 2017 in the DRC and wins The Banker’s Award for Financial Inclusion

We are delighted to announce that TMB has been recognised as the Bank of the Year 2017 in the Democratic Republic of Congo for a record fifth time, collecting the award at the Bank of the Year Awards ceremony held 29 November in London by The Banker magazine, part of the prestigious Financial Times family.

This highly-sought after award is given each year to a single bank in each of almost 160 countries around the world. With regards to the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Bank of the Year prize has been awarded to TMB in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and now once again in 2017.

TMB is also honoured to have received The Banker’s Award for Financial Inclusion 2017 at the same ceremony in London. This global award is given to just one bank in the entire world each year – TMB is the first Congolese bank, and only the second African bank ever, to have received this prestigious global award.
