TMB is the Bank of the Year 2012 in the DRC

29.11.2012, London, UK – Trust Merchant Bank (TMB) is proud to announce that it has won the prestigious Bank of the Year 2012 award from The Banker magazine.

The award was presented on 28 November 2012 in London, at a ceremony organised by The Banker magazine, which is part of the Financial Times Group. Each year banks in almost 150 countries compete for “Bank of the Year” award. TMB is the 2012 winner for the DRC.

TMB has cemented its position as the leader in the DRC banking sector, with the Bank securing several international awards during 2012:

– “Bank of the Year 2012 in the DRC”, awarded on November 28 in London by The Banker magazine, where the jury recognized and rewarded the performance of our institution in recent years. In particular the jury was particularly impressed by the ability of TMB to develop, during the past three years, the largest integrated network of branches across the country.

– “Best Bank in the DRC in 2012”, awarded by the magazine EMEA Finance: TMB has won the award for a second consecutive year. The award will be officially presented to TMB in London on 6 December 2012 at the “African Banking Awards 2012”.

– “Best Commercial Bank in the DRC”, “Best Retail Bank in the DRC” and “Outstanding Contribution to SME Development in Africa” for the year 2012 ; three awards presented to TMB on the occasion of 2012 CFI Awards. The multiple awards are recognition “of the major contribution of the TMB to sustainable growth and excellence in banking”.
