TMB Participating in the 2021 OECD Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains

26.04.2021, Europe – TMB is delighted to be participating in the 14th OECD Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains where we’ll be discussing the role banks can play in increasing access to financial services for the ASM sector and in supporting the formalisation of ASM activity.

The 14th Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains is hosted by the OECD as a virtual forum on 27-28 April 2021 and brings together representatives from government, business, and civil society.

The Forum will address a number of topics, including sessions contrasting harmful disengagement from high-risk areas with risk mitigation, and regulatory and policy developments. Other sessions will present new resources developed as part of the OECD implementation program for the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, including an FAQ on corruption risks, a risk report database, and the cost and value of due diligence. TMB will also participate in partner-organised sessions during the Forum week, on 26, 29, and 30 April, where topics specific to particular regions and minerals will be explored.
