TMB Sponsoring 8th Edition of the Access to Financing Forum
22.06.2018, Kinshasa, DRC – TMB is delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor the 8th edition of the Access to Financing Forum (FAAF), organised by FPM Pour l’inclusion financière en RD Congo, on Saturday 23 June, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, at the Protestant University in Congo (UPC), in Kinshasa.
FPM is an institution aiming to promote financial inclusion in the DRC by providing technical and financial support to financial institutions that target MSMEs (micro, small and medium-sized enterprises) and low-income working populations. FPM is made up of two entities: FPM ASBL provides technical assistance to financial institutions financing MSMEs, and FPM SA is dedicated to refinancing.
FPM supports the construction and development of an inclusive and sustainable financial system, thus contributing to the reduction of poverty and the improvement of living conditions of the populations in the DRC.
The Access to Financing Forum is a major event in the Congolese economic landscape, and aims to bring together financial institutions and MSMEs by offering thematic reflection workshops and a friendly dialogue framework.
The theme of FAAF 2018 is “Keeping my business running: managing to improve performance”. Three central questions will be addressed: how to manage and anticipate the difficulties of my company; convincing an investor: how to be well prepared; when digital becomes a business accelerator.
In addition to plenary conferences and thematic workshops, this edition proposes a Start-Up Factory space, which is an area dedicated to young people proposing innovative projects, who could be supported and financed by national and international investors.
An exhibition area for financial products and services will facilitate business opportunities between SMEs and financial institutions.
More than 500 participants are expected at FAAF 2018 including MSMEs leaders, national and international technical and financial partners, savings and credit cooperatives, microfinance institutions, banks, professional associations and financial companies.
