TMB sponsors NBA star Bismack Biyombo’s Basketball Camp
8.07.2017, Lubumbashi, DRC – Bismack Biyombo, the Congolese NBA player, is in Congo once again this summer to take part in the annual Bismack Biyombo Basketball Camps.
Mindful of the immense importance of sport and positive role models in the development and education of young people and civil society, TMB is delighted to support the basketball tour and related camps for the fourth consecutive year.
Almost 25 years of age, Bismack Biyombo Sumba is a Congolese professional basketball player born in Lubumbashi who has been enjoying great success in the NBA. Bismack currently plays for the Orlando Magic, having previously played with Toronto Raptors and the Charlotte Bobcats.
The Bismack Biyombo Basketball Training Camps have been running since 2013. This year camps are taking place in Lubumbashi, Kinshasa and Goma.
This year Bismack is accompanied by another Congolese basketball star, Emmanuel Mudiay, for the Kinshasa and Goma training camps. Born in Kinshasa, in 1996, Emmanuel Mudiay currently plays for the Denver Nuggets.

The objective of the Bismack Biyombo Basketball Camp is to promote the game of basketball and its core values as a tool to accomplish life goals, an objective TMB is thrilled to support. The initiative aims at giving young people across the country opportunities to pursue their education and to develop their sporting careers.
Bismack is a model and an inspiration for young Congolese and TMB is thrilled to welcome him home once again to the Congo.
