TMB Supporting Congo TechDays 2018 in Lubumbashi
16.05.2018, Lubumbashi, DRC – TMB is delighted to be both sponsoring and participating in the second edition of the digital fair, Congo TechDays 2018, which is being held on 18 and 19 May, at the Pullman Hotel, Lubumbashi.
The fair brings together in a single place, during two days, the major digital actors present in the DRC, with the objective of accompanying SMEs and various enterprises in their digital transition by providing concrete solutions and answers to the new trends in digital use. The fair also aims to promote digital innovations in Central Africa.
The programme includes twenty conferences and workshops facilitated by experts, consultants and entrepreneurs. The showroom will host expositions, with 40 exhibitors from different sectors present. The event also includes a ‘Geek party’, a hackathon (an event in which a large number of people meet to engage in collaborative computer programming), and a CTD Awards event where the most impactful digital innovations of the last five years will be recognised.
On Friday 18 May, TMB will take part in a discussion on Mobile Money titled “Mobile Money: the challenges of digitalising money”, where we will introduce PEPELE Mobile, TMB’s mobile banking service.
Students will participate in the creation of digital projects and will produce prototypes. PEPELE Mobile will be integrated into the applications developed there.
Entrance to the fair is free and access to the conferences is open, without prior registration.
