TMB supporting the #ProduisonsCongolais initiative
27.02.2017, Kinshasa, DRC – TMB is participating in the launch of the #ProduisonsCongolais campaign, on 28 February, from 11.00 am to 2.30 pm, at the Centre Wallonie Bruxelles in Kinshasa. The campaign seeks to promote the small scale producers in the Congo.
#ProduisonsCongolais is an initiative of eMart, a partner client of PEPELE Mobile and commercial company specialised in online sales of consumer products. eMart guarantees the quality of the products put online and ensures the delivery of all orders.
eMart has already had success with its #ConsommonsCongolais campaign, as featured by TV5 Africa.
This second campaign #ProduisonsCongolais aims at making their online retail platform available to local producers, farmers and ‘mamans maraichères’. Users will be able to advertise for sale their products on www.emart.cd; delivery options will be available to purchasers.
The partners supporting this project want to promote the use of mobile payment methods both for clients buying and for producers selling their products through the platform. For that reason, PEPELE Mobile is partnering with eMart and ÉLAN RDC.
PEPELE Mobile is TMB’s revolutionary mobile banking service that supports an array of services and is available, in five languages, on any type of mobile phone.
ÉLAN RDC is a programme run by the UK-based organisation Adam Smith International and funded by the UK Government (UKaid) as part of its private sector development programme in the DRC. ÉLAN RDC aims to promote sustainable and inclusive economic development by empowering businesses and entrepreneurs in the DRC. The organisation has offices in Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Bukavu, Goma and Mbandaka.
TMB supports the #ProduisonsCongolais initiative and will support the integration costs onto eMart for some 50 producers. Producers subscribing to sell on eMart.cd will be able to open a PEPELE Mobile account.
During the launch ceremony of the campaign, a presentation of PEPELE Mobile will inform producers about the advantages of the mobile banking offer and its complementarity with the online sale of their products.
